More Free Summer Knitting Series 2005

We're saying: Well then, here's some more!

We're extending our very popular free Summer Knitting Series into September. Join us for a kind of Knitter’s Camp every Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Each week you'll meet new friends, learn about some fresh topics and great ideas, get an evening out with other knitters, and best of all there's no charge to attend.

Sept 7 - Reading a Pattern
Decipher the shorthand. Why is it always so cryptic?

Sept 14 - Short Rowing
A popular technique, as used in Scarf Style.

Sept 21 - Gossamers Webs
Also known as Orenburg shawls. This technique can be useful on large yarns too.

Sept 28 - Cables
Cables SOOO easy, come and see. Our "viewers choice" -- repeated by popular demand.

Yarn Sampling: Swatching with New Yarns

Thursday Evenings 6:00-8:00pm, starting Sept 8

Make no mistake. Fall is upon us. Along with the season comes the fabulous new yarns from around the world. They've started to flow in daily and we're stocking it as fast as we can. We have so much new yarn already and more coming in, that we want you to see, touch and feel them, and be as excited as we are.

Join us every Thursday evening starting September 8, for a yarn-touching extravaganza. Choose a yarn from the wide selection coming from the premiere lines and brands, then follow the simple swatch instructions we provide. You'll learn how that yarn works up into a 4x4 inch square. If you'd like, you can move on to another juicy style or yarn. This is an opportunity to see how all the yarns knit up and learn about the variations of needle sizes and tensions.

Please bring your own needles -- Sizes 5 through 15 -- since Studio loaners are limited.
We suggest having your Denise Interchangeable Needle Set handy!

Fall Events Lineup

This fall, starting in October, The Knitter's Studio is planning an exciting lineup of fashion shows and visiting teachers to whet your appetite for your favorite pasttime and help you find new inspirations.
